The double slide is a hit

Lisa reading a bedtime story

I don't know who is more entranced... Although I do know where K gets her finger sucking habit from!

Our good friends Roy and Kassandra come to visit

Do you think he enjoyed it?

Why I will no longer shop at Target

Today we helped make returns - Lowe's and Target. Lowe's wasn't bad - considering we were returning something purchased in 2005 - they gave us credit without too much fuss. But at Target - well, that's another story.

The new return policy for Target - you can return 2 items in a year without a receipt. That's it - no exceptions. The woman helping us was kind enough to combine 2 items that totalled less than $5 into one item, but was unable to do that for the items that were more than $5. So, make sure you keep that receipt or gift receipt.

Oh - and btw - the gift receipt just means they don't have to use one of the 2 returns. It does not mean they get the amount in credit that you spent buying it. They get the lowest price it has been sold for in the last XX days.

Higgy's two cents: I was at Lowe's, but not Target. The Lowe's folks were semi-helpful, but it took escalation to finalize the return - yet honestly, they no longer even carried the items in stock - so I think we got off pretty well there! Glad I didn't go to Target...

Blogging will be light this week (shocker)

Since we are spending the week in so.su.ca at Melodie's place. Just helping out. Pictures to follow during the week...

News of note!

We've been busy in the last few months - and have been bursting at the seams to share the good news! Owen's NOT going to be an only child!
Due date is October 15th. More news and pictures to follow! Yes, we'll be finding out if he's going to have a brother or sister. Lisa is feeling fine, but has experienced the fatigue and nausea of the wonderful first trimester!
