All that heat...

makes the conductor a little crazy!

Owen realized he could see a bit more

by standing on Mom!

Pretty warm on the train,

huh, buddy?
Posted by Picasa

Can you believe...

the conductor actually wanted to stamp our tickets! AND he forced us to take this picture with Owen! No wonder we drive everywhere!

Afterwards, we take a ride!

We'd gone inside the museum to see Grandpa, but he'd left for the day. We decided to take the 30 ride on the steam train. Owen was glued to the window, waving to people going by...

Owen helpfully points out where the train is...

in case we didn't know.

Grandpa was working as the conductor that day

and we all got a shot in front of the train!

We took Elena and Owen to the train museum...

and we also wanted to try out our new double stroller!

Gotta love the big duckies!

Owen saw these at Grandma's and had to immediately flop on them!

Accidents do happen...

while we were visiting, we fell and got a cut on our lip! Yes, it's already healed by now...

And Uncle Fred.

They stopped by on their drive to Alaska!

We were visiting with Aunt Rumpai...

Hanging out on Grandpa's hammock

and Owen manages to land BOTH elbows, BOTH knees and a foot into Dad's crotch...
Posted by Picasa

We've been so busy...

that we've had to DIVE into our food just to keep up!

Last day at Waikiki

and we get a lovely rainbow as we walk to breakfast.

Closeup of the reed-fish

Isn't it lovely? HOURS of entertainment (well, for an 18 month old...)

Petting a sheep at the kid's zoo.

While fun, was obviously one of the last things on our day. Owen was close to melting down, and Lisa had had enough walking. A nice little petting zoo, though.

What kind of baby sign is "Turtle"

HellifIknow. Anyway, Owen enjoyed watching this one back into his little hidey-hole. It was a hot, sweaty day - so we didn't last too long at the zoo.

ELEPHANTS!

We got there just as "Elephant Talk" was starting. Owen was a bit awed by the two elephants - while Mum was amused at the one elephant pooping and using the hose as a bidet!
