Oh yeah,

You know you love it. Kids in sunglasses are COOL!

This is what happens

when Dad lets me feed myself! This purple spoon is TASTY!

At home we have the bear and the dog.

At Grandma's, we get to wrestle with giant ducks!

Coolest kid on the block...

Ok - new level of cuteness. Kids in sunglasses.

Not just the cat that loves boxes...

It's kids too!

37 today, 37 today...

Hey ho a dairy-o, I'm 37 today!

Thursday, January 25, 2007

It usually wears him out...

and then of course, on other days, it winds him up like the freaking Energizer Bunny!

Bedtime routine

Still consists of several minutes wrestling with the bear and the giant dog! He loves it!

New Clothes!

We got some new clothes from Eric and Tammy for Owen - as you can tell, he loves his new PJ's! (and no, those aren't Mom's hands coming to tickle him!)

Sad news

I don't know if any of my readers ever go to the links from my blog, or if you recall seeing comments from a reader Melodie. She's a good friend of Lisa's, and we went to their wedding in 2004 - just a couple of months prior to our own.

Her blog is Holden Tracks - and until recently, she'd been using it to communicate news of her pregnancy to the world. Her and her husband Greg are expecting their first child in six weeks or so.

Are. Or were. Greg passed away on January 20th, 2007. We're stunned and shocked by this news. As my boss is fond of saying - if you pray or believe in the power of prayer - please include Melodie and (soon-to-be) Reece in your thoughts.

Sunday

We stayed around the house, rearranging the magnetic letters on the fridge to spell naughty words. Well, we really just watched football - Owen did all the rearranging!

Plus we got to pet a dog!

After the party, it was off to the oyster-roast. It was held at one of the local vineyards (not very good, so we won't mention the name of it here) and the wind was FEROCIOUS - thus adding to Owen's bad-hair day! We had fun though.

After the bouncing, it was time for pizza and cake. Lisa was holding the birthday boy's sister, and as you can see, Owen was thrilled to have a bottle of water! It's thirsty work bouncing!
Posted by Picasa

Owen had some issues with some of the bounce-house stuff. I love the look he's giving me here!
Posted by Picasa

This is the puzzle-bus from the front. He spent a lot of time here!
Posted by Picasa

But some of the best things to play with were not bounce-houses! Can wait to see the comments on this one...

This was one of the bounce houses - shaped like a giant SUV. Owen is 24 inches tall - to give you some perspective.

Think he liked it?

Video of this can be seen at :http://www.vimeo.com/clip:131804

Of course, Lisa HAD to take him down one of the slides!

Of course, being the paranoid parents that we are, we surround him to prevent the boisterous 4 year-olds from bowling him over! For those of you paying attention, this is a post-weight loss picture of Pete (Higgy)!

The party was at a BounceHouse - basically a big room full of inflatable bounce-houses. Was fun - but Owen was more intrigued by the little puzzle school-bus.

Although sliding on and off the chair did some funky things to Owen's hair!

Weekend update

We had a busy Saturday - a birthday party in the morning, an oyster bar-be-que in the afternoon and dinner with the neighbors that evening! Here Owen looks quite dapper sitting in Dad's chair.

Owen had his 12 month Dr appt on Tuesday. Just when he's gotten over his fear of the doctor, they go and stick needles in him again. 4 shots altogether - poor bugger was not happy about it!

Back home again and it's COLD! Don't you just love kids in hats?

While Brennan, Eric and Tammy are also doing well. Bryce was being stubborn, so he didn't make it into the family shot!
